Microloan Program

**Update** The City of Fresno is no longer accepting applications for the Save Our Businesses Loan Program. The deadline for submitting loan applications was Sunday, April 12 2020.

The city of Fresno is offering a microloan program for businesses that have been shut down or otherwise impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. The no-interest loans could be forgiven after a year if the business continues to operate. Deadline to apply is April 12.

Hospitality Emergency Grant Program

*APPLICATION CLOSED* - To help hospitality businesses make ends meet in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, DCEO is launching the Hospitality Emergency Grant Program with $14 million drawn from funds originally budgeted for job training, tourism promotion, and other purposes. Grant funds are available to support working capital like payroll and rent, as well as job training, retraining, and technology to support shifts in operations, like increased pick-up and delivery.

Kiva

Kiva loan

Venturize is partnering with Kiva to bring affordable capital to small business owners during these challenging times. Kiva provides loans of $1,000-$15,000, zero-percent interest and no fees. There is a 6 month grace period and then fixed monthly principal payment (12-36 months). Funds are raised through community-backed crowdsourcing. Kiva will offer Venturize-referred applicants priority review if you apply through this link and mark "Venturize" as the answer to "how did you hear about Kiva."

We are in the process of working with philanthropy and other partners to increase the funds available, with the intention of increasing the number of small businesses that can be served through this program. All applications in process, but not completed, will be placed on hold until additional funds are identified. Program updates will be sent out to applicants via email.
